Mainly Music is a programme for parents and preschoolers to enjoy and be introduced to the world of music, dance, beat rhythm and so much more. It also provides a base for families to think about God in their lives.

Mainly Music also provides a warm and welcoming community, where children make good friends and, parents and caregivers of preschoolers can build good supportive friendships.

Each session revolves around music and movement and a time for morning tea (provided for the parents and caregivers, but we do ask that parents and caregivers provide food for their children… as we are aware of dietary needs and food allergies).

Mainly Music Onerahi is run by a dedicated group of volunteers, predominantly older women with a wealth of experience and understanding of the joys and the pressures of those preschool years. But these ‘aunties’ enthusiasm for the music and children is really catchy.

There are special creative activities for children during the year, helping children celebrate important times of the year with their family: Christmas, Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

Mainly Music also understands that time with families is important, so it only operates during term time, leaving the school holidays for families.

While we don’t charge for sessions, we do ask for a Koha (gold coin) to
offset expenses.
