OUR ETHOS
Hope Whangārei is a Presbyterian, multi-site church. It was created in 2019 by the Whangārei Presbyterian Churches of Trinity, St Andrews and St James deciding to share, extend support and connection with one another, and with those in the wider community.
We aspire to be a growing intergenerational church where everyone is welcomed, cared for, respected, encouraged and supported to follow Jesus. We aspire to truly understand, embody and proclaim Jesus’ good news about the Kingdom of God.
Worshipping God, prayer, fellowship, teaching & learning, empowering leaders, individuals being safe, sensitively reaching out and being missional in Whangārei and other places, and caring for God’s creation are all important to the Hope Whangārei community.
THREE GOALS
Three main goals, that go towards achieving Hope Whangārei’s vision and express our purpose:
– To be a growing intergenerational church.
– To support and equip one another.
– To be active in the wider communities.
